Summer demand is on the rise: Ukrzaliznytsia is launching an additional train service between Kyiv and Lviv

Ukrzaliznytsia has scheduled an additional high-speed train No. 743/744 on the Kyiv–Lviv–Kyiv route. It will run on June 23 and 24 to increase the number of seats on one of the country’s most popular rail routes. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing the Ukrzaliznytsia press service.
The decision was made due to high demand on the Kyiv–Lviv route.
“Ukrzaliznytsia” Adds Kyiv–Lviv Train
JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” announced the scheduling of an additional high-speed train No. 743/744 on the Kyiv–Lviv–Kyiv route for June 23 and 24.
The company explains that the route between Kyiv and Lviv remains the most popular among passengers. That is why the carrier has added another service so that more people can plan their trip.
“To give even more people the opportunity to travel next week, we are scheduling an additional train No. 743/744 from Kyiv to Lviv on June 23 and 24,” the Ukrzaliznytsia statement reads.

Why the Additional Train Was Scheduled
The main reason is the high demand for tickets between Kyiv and Lviv. Last week alone, approximately 21,000 passengers traveled on this route.
Kyiv–Lviv remains one of the busiest routes in Ukraine. It is actively used by passengers traveling on vacation, on business trips, to visit relatives, or to transfer to other international and domestic routes.
The additional train is expected to increase the number of available seats and partially alleviate the ticket shortage during peak travel dates.
Which train will operate
An Intercity high-speed train will operate on the route.
The travel time will be about six hours. Ukrzaliznytsia notes that this is the fastest rail option for travel between Kyiv and Lviv.
This option is convenient for passengers who need to travel quickly from one city to another without an overnight trip.

An additional high-speed train No. 743/744 Kyiv–Lviv–Kyiv is scheduled for June 23 and 24.

The new schedule includes additional trips, faster routes, an increase in the number of daily trains, and expanded service to the Carpathians and Transcarpathia.
