In Ukraine, some consumers in five regions have been temporarily left without power due to hostilities and Russian shelling of energy facilities. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

Energy workers are working around the clock to restore power to all customers as quickly as possible.

Where power is out due to shelling

According to the Ministry of Energy, some consumers in five regions of Ukraine are temporarily without electricity due to hostilities and attacks on energy infrastructure.

These regions include:

  • Donetsk;
  • Zaporizhzhia;
  • Mykolaiv;
  • Poltava;
  • Kharkiv.

Emergency repair work is ongoing in these regions. Power company workers are operating wherever the security situation allows.

Utility workers are working around the clock

The Ministry of Energy notes that repair crews are working at full capacity. The main task is to restore power as quickly as possible to all customers who have lost electricity.

Restoration work is ongoing around the clock. However, in regions near the front lines and close to combat operations, access to damaged facilities may be difficult due to security risks.

Severe weather has left communities in the Dnipropetrovsk region without power

In addition to the effects of hostilities, power supply issues have arisen due to weather conditions.

Due to the severe weather, 22 settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk region were left without power. Repair crews from the regional power company are working to restore power to the damaged lines.

These emergency outages are not related to scheduled power restrictions but were caused by damage to the power grid due to adverse weather conditions.

Will There Be Power Cutoff Schedules on June 18?

The Ministry of Energy reported that no electricity consumption restrictions are expected on June 18.

This means that scheduled power outages for consumers should not occur. However, localized emergency power outages are possible due to shelling, combat operations, damage to power grids, or severe weather.

Citizens are advised to check the official websites of their regional power companies for any changes to the power supply.

Ukrainians were urged to conserve electricity

The Ministry of Energy has urged consumers to use electricity sparingly, especially during peak hours in the morning and evening.

Rational consumption helps reduce the load on the power grid and facilitates its stable operation.

The heaviest load traditionally occurs during the morning and evening hours, when people are using household appliances, lighting, and electrical devices on a large scale.
