Ukraine’s representative, LELÉKA, has traveled to Austria for the Eurovision Song Contest; she will perform the song “Ridnym” in the second half of the second semifinal on May 14, according to Ukrzaliznytsia, as reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".
“We’re taking Leleka to Eurovision and urge everyone to support Ukraine on May 14 in the second semifinal. We believe in the Ukrainian song and another crystal microphone on our compartment table,” reads a post by Ukrzaliznytsia on Telegram on Sunday.
It should be noted that a press conference hosted by Timur Miroshnychenko was first held at the Central Railway Station. During the event, a moment of silence was observed nationwide to honor fallen soldiers.
After the press conference, LELÉKA was escorted to the platform. While the singer waited for the train, her contest song “Ridnym” was played at the railway station. At that moment, the singer held the Ukrainian flag and sang the track with passion.
The first semifinal of the contest will take place on May 12, and the grand final on May 16.
