U.S. President Donald Trump’s overall approval rating among Americans has fallen to a record low for his two terms in office—37%. These figures were obtained in a joint poll by The Washington Post, ABC News, and Ipsos, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

According to the survey results, 62% of U.S. residents polled oppose the American leader’s policies. 66% of respondents disapprove of his actions regarding Iran, and only 34% of survey participants support his economic policies. The president’s approval rating on inflation has dropped to 27%.

The Washington Post noted that Trump’s weakening standing threatens Republican seats in the House of Representatives and the Senate in the November 3, 2026, elections.

Trump is losing popularity

As a reminder, in a March poll in the United States, about 44% of respondents said they fully or somewhat approve of how President Trump is performing his duties. At the same time, 54% of those surveyed said they fully or somewhat disapprove of Trump’s performance.

Additionally, a Reuters/Ipsos poll last November showed that Trump’s approval rating is at its lowest since he returned to power, as Americans are dissatisfied with his handling of the high cost of living.

Additionally, it was previously reported that nearly half of Europeans (48% of respondents) consider the U.S. president an “enemy of Europe.” The highest figures were recorded in Belgium (62%) and France (57%), while the lowest were in Croatia (37%) and Poland (19%).
