Talks on Ukraine’s future will take place in Brussels on Wednesday, November 4, with representatives from Kyiv, Washington, and several European countries—namely Germany, France, and the United Kingdom—in attendance. This was announced by European Commission spokesperson Paula Pinho on November 3, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
Representatives from NATO and the World Bank are expected to join the discussions. The talks will take place at the level of national security advisors. It has not been disclosed who exactly will represent the U.S. at the talks.
Follow-up Meeting on Ukraine in Miami
One of the topics of the talks is expected to be Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction. Meanwhile, Reuters reports, citing sources, that the topics of discussion in Brussels will include a prosperity plan for Ukraine and security guarantees.
According to other reports, the event is intended to be a continuation of the meeting in Miami that took place on October 9. At that time, in addition to the Ukrainian delegation, U.S. President’s Special Envoys Stephen Witkoff and Jared Kushner, as well as representatives from the National Security Council and the U.S. Department of the Treasury, participated. In addition, the U.S. invited national security advisers from Germany, France, and the United Kingdom. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte sent their chief of staffs to Miami.
Earlier, Stephen Witkoff stated that the next round of negotiations on a peaceful settlement of the war in Ukraine would take place on November 10–11 in Abu Dhabi, with the participation of Ukraine, Russia, and the U.S. On November 3, the Kremlin confirmed that a Russian delegation led by Vladimir Medinsky would participate in this meeting.
