Massive drone attack on Ryazan: an oil refinery and a Wildberries logistics center are on fire

On the night of July 29, the Russian city of Ryazan came under a massive drone attack. Following the explosions, fires broke out at a local oil refinery and at the logistics complex of the Wildberries marketplace, which is considered one of the largest in Russia.
The attack was reported by Ryazan Region Governor Pavel Malkov, as well as by Russian media and monitoring organizations, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"
What is known about the attack on Ryazan
Pavel Malkov, governor of the Ryazan Region, confirmed the drone attack, stating that a fire broke out at one of the industrial facilities around 5:30 a.m. after debris fell.
According to him, air defense forces were operating in the region, and residents were urged to stay away from windows and remain in safe places.
Meanwhile, monitoring channels reported that the “Ryazan–Tyushevskaya” logistics complex—one of Wildberries’ largest warehouses in the country—had been hit.
Wildberries has suspended operations at the logistics center
According to Russian sources, the logistics complex covers an area of more than 173,000 square meters, making it Wildberries’ fourth-largest warehouse in Russia.
Following the attack, the company temporarily closed access to the facility and advised employees not to come to work until further notice.
Fire reported at the Ryazan Oil Refinery
There are also reports of a fire on the grounds of the Ryazan Oil Refinery.
Russian authorities have officially confirmed a fire at one of the industrial facilities but did not specify its name. At the same time, a number of Russian media outlets and monitoring resources are linking the incident specifically to the refinery’s grounds.
According to Russian authorities, at least six people were injured and hospitalized as a result of the attack in Ryazan.
Taganrog Was Also Targeted
In addition to Ryazan, Taganrog in the Rostov region was also attacked overnight.
According to local authorities, a multi-unit residential building was damaged by falling debris.
Russian officials state that one woman was killed and another man was injured. There are also reports of the evacuation of residents from the building and damage to private homes and commercial facilities.
Attacks on Russian industrial facilities continue
In recent months, drones have regularly attacked military, fuel, and logistics facilities within Russia.
The Ryazan Oil Refinery has been targeted by such attacks on multiple occasions, and Russian authorities typically report that air defense systems were activated and that drone debris fell.
