Nighttime attack on Dnipro: a drone struck a high-rise building; there are injuries

On the night of April 23, 2026, Russian occupation forces attacked Dnipro with drones. One of the strikes hit a high-rise building, where several apartments caught fire. Explosions were heard in Dnipro around 12:30 a.m. The Air Force warned of drone swarms, and later Oleksandr Hanzha reported that a residential building had been hit.
According to him, several apartments caught fire in a high-rise building as a result of the attack, and fires broke out in various parts of the city. In addition to the residential building, a car and a store also caught fire.
As of 2:30 a.m., three people were reported injured. According to the Regional Military Administration, among them were two women aged 62 and 68, who were hospitalized in moderate condition, and a 35-year-old man who required outpatient treatment.
Later, the number of casualties rose to seven. According to updated information, the injured included two girls, aged 9 and 14, who were taken to the hospital. Three adults were also hospitalized, and medical personnel assessed the condition of all those admitted as moderate.

The main impact was on residential buildings. The most severe damage was sustained by a high-rise building, where apartments caught fire after being hit.
