Weather in Ukraine on June 19: up to 27° and brief showers in some areas

On Friday, June 19, dry and warm weather will prevail across Ukraine. No significant precipitation is forecast in most regions, and daytime temperatures will range from 22° to 27°. This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"
At the same time, light, brief showers are possible in some areas of the country’s southeast, as well as in parts of the western and northern regions during the day.
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has also issued a warning about high and extreme fire danger levels in a number of regions.
Where rain is possible on June 19
Most of Ukraine will be dry on Friday.
Light, brief showers are forecast in some areas:
- in the southeastern part of the country;
- during the day in most western regions;
- in parts of the northern regions.
Precipitation will be localized, so weather conditions may vary even within a single region.
Air Temperature in Ukraine
On the night of June 19, air temperatures will generally range from 11° to 16°.
It will be warmer along the coast—up to 19° in some places.
During the day, temperatures will reach:
- 22… 27° in most regions;
- up to 27° in the country’s warmest regions.
Thus, Friday will be warm, but without oppressive heat.

What will the wind be like?
A northwesterly wind with speeds of 5–10 m/s will prevail across Ukraine.
In the south and southeast, the wind will be from the northeast.
Forecasters do not expect strong gusts in the general forecast.
Weather in Kyiv on June 19
No significant precipitation is forecast for Kyiv and the Kyiv region overnight.
During the day, light, brief showers are possible in some areas.
Temperatures in the Kyiv region will be:
- at night — 11…16°;
- during the day — 22…27°.
In the capital, temperatures are expected to range from 13… 15° at night, and during the day, the air will warm up to 25… 27°.
The wind will be from the northwest at 5–10 m/s.
Where a state of extreme fire danger has been declared
Forecasters are warning of a high risk of fires in natural ecosystems.
From June 19–21, an extreme fire danger level is forecast in:
- Sumy Oblast;
- Mykolaiv Oblast;
- Zaporizhzhia Oblast;
- Crimea.
From June 20–21, an extreme fire hazard is also expected in:
- Rivne Oblast;
- Lviv Oblast;
- Ternopil Oblast;
- Zhytomyr Oblast;
- Kirovohrad Oblast;
- Odesa Oblast.
Under these conditions, even a small source of fire can cause a large-scale blaze in dry grass, forests, or peatlands.
What Does an “Extreme” Fire Danger Level Mean?
An “extreme” fire danger level corresponds to the highest, fifth class.
Under these weather conditions, the risk of rapid fire spread in forests, steppes, and open areas increases significantly.
Citizens should avoid:
- lighting fires;
- burning dry grass and trash;
- using open flames near forests and fields;
- leaving cigarette butts on dry vegetation.
What Will the Weather Be Like in the Coming Days?
Summer warmth will persist in Ukraine toward the end of the workweek. In most regions, the weather will remain comfortable, with precipitation being localized and brief.
At the same time, dry weather combined with high temperatures will contribute to a further increase in the risk of wildfires.
Residents of regions where warnings have been issued are advised to be especially careful to follow fire safety rules.
