Vegan Food Awards 2024 winners: cauliflower pizza and oatmeal chocolate

The European organization PETA UK has announced the winners of the annual Vegan Food Awards 2024, recognizing unique vegan products in 15 categories. It is reported by newfood, "Komersant Ukrainian" informs
As noted, this year’s awards went to both traditional brands and industry innovators who continue to surprise with flavor solutions and a variety of ingredients.
The Best Cheese nomination was won by Brixton Blue by La Fauxmagerie, made with coconut oil, almonds, and vegan ingredients. Celebrity chef Theo Michaels praised Brixton Blue, noting that it changed his view of vegan products.
The Best Milk award was given to Oato, an alternative milk made from 100% British oats produced in Lancashire. This milk is available in Waitrose and Booths, as well as through the Modern Milkman delivery service in recyclable glass bottles.
Among the ice cream brands, DÁPPA won with its soft almond and cashew ice cream, which is available with a variety of toppings in the brand’s store in London.
“Best Chocolate went to Knoops for its hot chocolate made with 38% oat milk, which is available in Knoops cafes or as a chocolate flake to make at home.

Tex Mex pizza from One Planet Pizza won the Best Pizza award. It is made with sourdough and covered with tomato sauce, red onions, sweet corn, peppers, green chilies, and vegetable cheese.
Cake Box won the Best Cake category with its vegan Speculoos Bliss Cake, which combines plant-based caramel cream and is available in over 200 stores across the UK.
“The Best Vegan Egg was recognized as the VG Poached Egg from Hedgerow Cafe in Plymouth. This vegan product is served with hollandaise sauce, sautéed herbs and herbs on sourdough toast.

Other unique winners include the world’s first frozen air fryer doughnut, Sugared Ring Dodoughs by Crave, which is also gluten-free, and a luxurious vegan maple pecan cookie dessert by The Shortbread Company, packaged in a tin gift box.
