Preparations are underway in Ukraine for a major reshuffle of the Cabinet of Ministers. People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak posted information on social media about the likely composition of the new government, emphasizing that the candidates listed are current as of now and may still change, writes "Komersant Ukrainian".

According to him, Serhiy Koretskyi may assume the position of prime minister. At the same time, a number of current government officials are likely to remain in the new cabinet.

Specifically, according to the lawmaker, Denys Shmyhal will remain First Deputy Prime Minister and will be responsible for energy policy. According to preliminary data, Tetiana Berezhna will retain her position as Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy.

The heads of several key ministries may also remain in their posts. Serhiy Marchenko is expected to continue leading the Ministry of Finance, Viktor Lyashko the Ministry of Health, Matviy Bidny the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Andriy Sibiga the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. According to the lawmaker, Denys Ulyutin may remain in the post of Minister of Social Policy. At the same time, Zheleznyak states that no final decision has yet been made regarding Natalia Kalmykova, the head of the Ministry of Veterans’ Affairs.

One of the most discussed personnel changes could be a reshuffle at the Ministry of Education and Science. According to the lawmaker, “they want to fire Oksen Lisovyi again,” and Mykola Trofimenko is mentioned among the possible candidates to replace him.

Also, according to Zheleznyak, the government is preparing to replace the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration. According to preliminary reports, Taras Kachka is set to be dismissed, and his position may be filled by Ukraine’s representative to the European Union, Vsevolod Chentsov.

Significant changes may also affect the structure of the government.

In particular, there are plans to split up the so-called “mega-ministry of resources.” According to preliminary information, Oleksiy Sobolev may head the Ministry of Economy and Ecology, while Taras Vysotsky may head the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development is also expected to undergo reorganization. According to the lawmaker, Oleksiy Kuleba will leave the government, and the ministry will be split into two separate ministries. Vitaliy Bezgin may head the Ministry of Regional Development, while a candidate for the position of Minister of Infrastructure has not yet been identified.

Uncertainty also remains regarding the security sector. The Ministry of Digital Transformation had previously considered Valeria Ionan as a candidate; however, according to Zheleznyak, everything depends on whether Mykhailo Fedorov remains in the post of Minister of Defense. The situation is similar at the Ministry of Internal Affairs: Ihor Klymenko may continue to lead it for now, but it is possible that he himself will become the new Minister of Defense.

In addition, according to the MP, Denys Maslov is being considered for the position of Minister of Justice.

However, Yaroslav Zheleznyak himself emphasized that this is only a preliminary list of possible appointments, and the final composition of the new Cabinet of Ministers may change.
