The supply of Ukrainian cherries on the market remains limited for now

This season, Ukrainian cherries are hitting the market more slowly than last year. Ksenia Guseva, a fruit and vegetable market expert at “APK-Inform,” discussed this in an article in the magazine “Gardening the Ukrainian Way,” as reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to AgroTimes.
According to her, while local cherries were already widely available on the market at the beginning of summer last year, supply remains limited at present.
“Last year at this time, cherries were already widely available on the market. This year, they aren’t available yet, so it’s difficult to make any predictions,” Guseva noted.
The expert explained that due to insufficient supply, it is still too early to draw conclusions about price levels and the season’s prospects. The final picture will become clearer once Ukrainian cherries begin arriving on the market in large quantities.
