PrivatBank’s profit rose by 17% in the first quarter

In the first quarter of 2026, PrivatBank’s pre-tax profit reached 25.9 billion hryvnias, a 17% increase compared to the same period in 2025, while net profit amounted to 12.8 billion hryvnias.
This was reported by PrivatBank’s press service, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
“PrivatBank remains the largest taxpayer among Ukrainian banks. In the first quarter of 2026, the bank paid UAH 44.1 billion in taxes, of which UAH 42.1 billion was income tax for the fourth quarter of 2025,” the statement said.
In total, PrivatBank paid 58.2 billion UAH in income tax to the budget in 2025.
According to the statement, the volume of client funds as of the end of the first quarter of 2026 increased by 19% compared to the first quarter of 2025. The number of active Privat24 clients grew by 2%, and the number of active business clients by 4% compared to the same period last year.

The net loan portfolio for the quarter grew by 44% year-over-year and by 8.8% compared to the beginning of 2026, reaching UAH 170 billion.
“Lending activity also remained high: the net loan portfolio in the first quarter grew by 44% year-over-year and by 8.8% compared to the beginning of 2026, reaching UAH 170 billion. The main areas of financing remained energy, the defense-industrial complex, manufacturing, the agricultural sector, and logistics,” the statement said.
As a reminder: based on the results of 2025, PrivatBank’s pre-tax profit amounted to UAH 88 billion, which is UAH 6.9 billion more than the previous year. Funds from individuals exceeded UAH 500 billion, marking a historic high. Total client funds grew to 731.6 billion UAH, while the bank’s net loan portfolio increased 1.7-fold to 156 billion UAH. The large corporate business portfolio grew by 11.3 billion UAH over the year, a fourfold increase.
