Russia attacked Ukrposhta branches in three regions
“I really hate writing about this kind of news, but sometimes there are days that are harder than others. Over the past two days, one Ukrposhta branch was destroyed and two others were significantly damaged by the enemy,” Smiliansky wrote.
Damage was reported in three cities:
- Kherson;
- Shostka, Sumy Oblast;
- Snivsk, Chernihiv Oblast.
These are civilian facilities that served local residents, delivering packages, pensions, social benefits, and other postal services.
Kherson: the branch building was completely burned down
The Ukrposhta branch in Kherson suffered the most damage. After a series of Russian strikes, the building was completely burned down.
At the time of the attack, there were about 100 parcels inside. Ukrposhta stated that the cost of each shipment will be fully reimbursed to the owners.
The company is currently assessing the damage. Customers in this area have been redirected to the nearest operating branches in the city.
Shostka: Branch Resumes Operations After Nighttime Attack
In Shostka, Sumy Oblast, a Russian nighttime attack damaged the post office building. The strike shattered 8 stained-glass windows and 7 regular windows.
Despite the damage, the team quickly cleaned up the area, partially restored the facade, and prepared the premises for operation.
As of the evening of May 5, the branch had already resumed serving customers.

Repair work is ongoing at the site.
No employees were injured
Despite attacks in three regions, Ukrposhta reports that employees are safe. In Snovsk, staff took shelter in time, and in other cities, teams are already working to address the damage.
Smilianksy thanked the company’s employees for working in dangerous conditions.
“Despite everything, we continue our work, and I am sincerely grateful to the team for their dedication and courage!” added the head of Ukrposhta.
“Ukrposhta” continues to operate despite attacks
The company states that it continues to operate even after shelling. In regions where branches have been destroyed or are temporarily unable to serve customers, people are being redirected to the nearest service locations.
