Following the controversy over the property: The National Agency for Corruption Prevention is preparing a response regarding the asset declaration of NABU detective Prokopchuk
5 May 19:50
The National Agency for Corruption Prevention has not conducted any audits of the declarations submitted by NABU detective Oleksiy Prokopchuk. The Agency reported this in response to a request from the editorial staff of "Komersant Ukrainian"
The NACP noted that the detective’s declaration has not yet been verified, nor has his compliance with the filing deadlines. At the same time, the NACP clarified that it would subsequently provide its “final response” on this matter, which likely indicates the Agency’s intention to decide on whether to conduct a verification of the individual’s assets.
“As of the date of this response, no comprehensive verification of the declarations submitted by O.L. Prokopchuk, a person authorized to perform state or local government functions, has been conducted, nor has any monitoring of the timeliness of the submission of declarations by the aforementioned declarant been carried out.
We also note that a final response to your letter will be provided within the timeframes established by law,” the Agency stated.

Prokopchuk and the Declarations
Earlier, former MP Andriy Pavlovsky published information suggesting that the declaration of NABU detective Oleksiy Prokopchuk allegedly contains signs of illicit enrichment. Specifically, there are indications that the detective’s family’s assets do not correspond to their expenditures.
In particular, attention is drawn to the anti-corruption official’s father, who held a position at “Ukrenergo.”
According to his declaration, as of 2020–2021, when he headed the Vinnytsia Repair and Maintenance Center of “Ukrenergo,” the family’s assets were more than modest. However, after retiring, the man purchased a luxury estate in Khodosiivka, near Kyiv, with an area of 225 m², where the NABU detective himself moved.
In total, the family owns over a thousand square meters of real estate, part of which, as noted in Pavlovsky’s post, is declared at a significantly lower value.
It is also known that Oleksiy Prokopchuk’s wife held the position of chief specialist at the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NAZK) from 2021 to 2024.
As a reminder, last year the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv suspended Vitalii Tebeikin, a detective with the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), from his post. He is suspected of making false declarations of assets. He was also ordered to post bail and sign a personal commitment as a preventive measure.
