Russian subversive and reconnaissance groups tried to break through to Kherson. The Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated the enemy soldiers. This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration Oleksandr Prokudin, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
“The enemy subversive reconnaissance groups tried to move towards Kherson, but were immediately detected and destroyed by our defenders,” he said in a statement.
According to him, the Russians continue to shell Kherson and its suburbs from the temporarily occupied areas of the region. Residential areas, critical and social infrastructure are under Russian fire. There are casualties among local residents.
“Medics, rescuers, law enforcement and public utilities are working on the spot. There are difficult days ahead. The tense situation will remain throughout the holidays, so do not go out unless you have to,” Prokudin emphasized.
According to the head of the UGA, up to 60,000 subscribers were left without electricity supply due to massive Russian shelling in Kherson region due to damage to critical infrastructure. Power outages were recorded in the Shumensky, Zhytloselyshche, Tavriysky, and Ostrovsky neighborhoods of Kherson. There is also no power supply in Bilozerka and Komyshany.
Prokudin clarified that the Russian military shelled the social infrastructure and residential areas of the region’s settlements, in particular, damaging 12 high-rise buildings and 7 private houses. The occupants also destroyed outbuildings, a garage and private cars.
As a result of Russian aggression, one person was killed and 18 others were injured.
