This year, Ukraine imported the most potatoes from Egypt: which other countries are among the leaders?

In January–May 2026, Ukraine imported 19.1 thousand metric tons of potatoes worth a total of $12.1 million, according to "Komersant Ukrainian", citing AgroTimes.

According to the State Customs Service, Egypt was the largest supplier of potatoes to the Ukrainian market over the five-month period, accounting for 25.8% of total imports. Azerbaijan also made significant deliveries, accounting for 19%, as did Poland, which supplied 16.6% of the imported product.

Thus, these three countries remain the key foreign suppliers of potatoes to Ukraine in 2026. The remaining volume comes from other trading partners.

For comparison, in 2025, Ukraine imported 123.6 thousand metric tons of potatoes, spending $66.3 million on purchases abroad.
