What else is known about the consequences of the attacks on the energy sector
In addition to power outages in seven regions, one employee was injured in the Mykolaiv region as a result of an enemy attack on an energy facility.
The Ministry of Energy reported that he was provided with all necessary assistance.
The power grid is also recording an increase in electricity consumption.
According to industry reports, as of the morning of April 23, consumption levels were higher than the previous day, which further complicates the system’s operation following the shelling.
Will there be power outage schedules on April 23?
As of April 23, no restrictions on consumers are expected.
The Ministry of Energy asks the public to monitor official information from their regional power companies in case of changes. In other words, no widespread planned outages have been announced for today, but local issues due to network damage remain.
The ministry urges Ukrainians to use electricity sparingly, especially during peak hours in the morning and evening. This is necessary to reduce the load on the power grid during the post-emergency recovery phase.
The Ministry of Energy also notes that a scheduled maintenance campaign at nuclear power plants is currently underway in Ukraine. At the same time, a return to summer power outage schedules is not currently anticipated, although the situation will continue to depend on weather conditions, consumption levels, and potential new attacks on the power grid.
