An oil depot caught fire in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai following a drone attack: what are the consequences?

An oil depot caught fire in the city of Tikhoretsk, Krasnodar Krai, following an attack by Ukrainian drones on the night of Saturday, April 18. There were no casualties or injuries, according to the region’s emergency response headquarters. A total of 224 personnel and 56 pieces of equipment were deployed to extinguish the fire.

This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing Russian propaganda media.

In turn, Mikhail Razvozhayev, the “head of administration” of annexed Sevastopol, reported on the night of April 18 about a fire at an oil depot in the Kozacha Bukhta neighborhood.

“A tank containing fuel residues is on fire. According to preliminary information, the fire was caused by a downed UAV. The fire area is small. No one was injured,” Razvozhayev wrote on his Telegram channel. According to him, air defense forces destroyed 22 Ukrainian drones over Sevastopol during the night.

An air raid alert due to a UAV attack was also declared in the Leningrad region on the night of April 18. Rosaviatsiya reported temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft at Pskov Airport. The “Carpet” plan was also implemented at airports in Saratov, Penza, Samara, and Ulyanovsk.
