18 April 14:09

On the night of April 18, Russian forces launched a targeted strike against port infrastructure and logistics facilities in the Odesa region.

This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing a Telegram post by Oleksiy Kuleba, Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery and Minister of Community and Territorial Development.

As a result of the attack on the port, a truck driver was injured; he received medical attention on the spot.

Warehouses, freight vehicles, and a building were also damaged, and buses caught fire.

On the port operator’s premises, silos containing corn were damaged, and a fire broke out. Rescue teams are working at the scene.

“Russia is systematically attacking ports, export infrastructure, and civilian logistics, attempting to disrupt the Ukrainian maritime corridor and impact the economy and global food security,” Kuleba emphasized.

As a reminder, on the night of April 18, the enemy attacked a critical energy facility in the Nizhyn district of Chernihiv region. The strike left 380,000 customers without power.
