“Ukrposhta” is temporarily suspending the operation of its mobile branches in the Nikopol district due to the security situation. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development.
“On Saturday, June 20, Russian troops once again attacked Nikopol with FPV drones. Two Ukrposhta vehicles, which were providing postal services to community residents, were hit. As a result of the attack, the vehicles were destroyed,” the statement reads.
Most importantly, none of the employees were injured. During the air raid alert, the employees were in shelters.
This is already the fourth Ukrposhta vehicle lost in the Nikopol district in just the last week due to Russian shelling.
“The decision to temporarily suspend the operation of mobile post offices was made for the safety of employees and community residents. Alternative solutions and additional protective measures are currently being developed,” the ministry explained.
It is expected that the mobile branches will resume operations in the community within the next 24 hours.
Despite constant attacks, “Ukrposhta” continues to provide services in frontline communities thanks to the resilience and dedication of its employees.
