10 road sections were closed in Kyiv following a massive attack: full list

In Kyiv, following a massive nighttime attack by Russia, traffic has been temporarily blocked on a number of streets and avenues. The restrictions are in effect on both the left and right banks of the capital, specifically in the Darnytskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Solomianskyi, Pecherskyi, and Obolonskyi districts.

The Ukrainian Patrol Police announced the closures, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

Drivers are asked to plan alternative routes in advance, avoid entering restricted areas, and comply with the instructions of patrol officers. No exact time has yet been given for when traffic will fully resume.

Traffic is temporarily blocked on:

  • on Boryspilskaya Street (from the intersection with Veresneva Street toward Igor Kachurovsky Lane);
  • Ihor Kachurovsky Lane ( from the intersection with Yuriy Lytvynsky Street toward Boryspilskaya Street);
  • Novodarnytska Street (from the intersection with Sanatorna Street toward Veresneva Street);
  • Veresneva Street (from the intersection with Yuri Shevelov Street toward Yuri Litvinsky Street);
  • Brest Avenue (from the intersection with Hrushetska Street to the intersection with Garmatna Street);
  • Taras Shevchenko Boulevard ( from Bessarabska Square to the intersection with Yevhen Chykalenko Street);
  • Beresteisky Avenue (from the “Nyvky” metro station to the intersection with Oleksandrivska Street);
  • Marko Vovchok Street ( from the intersection with Semen Sklyarenko Street);
  • John Paul II Street ( from the intersection with Vasyl Tiutiunyk Street toward Jerzy Gedroyc Street);
  • Verbova Street (from the intersection with Dobrynska Street toward Kurenivska Street).

Kyiv’s public transportation will operate with changes, according to the Kyiv City State Administration.

In particular, due to damage to the overhead contact system, power outages, and cleanup efforts following enemy shelling, service is delayed for:

  • trolleybuses Nos. 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 19, 22-K, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31, 33, 35, 38, 39, 41, 42, 43, 50;
  • trams Nos. 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19.

Additionally, bus service has been organized on the following routes:

  • Tram No. 14 – “Kontraktova Square – Vidradnyi Ave.”;
  • Trolleybus No. 41 – “Toulouse St. – ‘Svyatoshyn’ Metro Station.”

Also, due to the road closure on Taras Shevchenko Boulevard, buses No. 114 and 118 were rerouted as follows:

  • Velyka Vasylkivska St. – Hetman Pavlo Skoropadskyi St. – Volodymyrska St. – Taras Shevchenko Blvd.

As a reminder, at around 2 a.m. on July 2, Russian forces launched a massive combined attack on Kyiv, following up their strike drones with missile strikes.

As of this morning, there are reports of about 10 casualties.
