The Defense Ministry has codified and authorized the use of Spextr ground robotic systems of various modifications in the units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
This was reported by the Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
“Spextr is a universal unmanned platform designed to perform a wide range of tasks in combat conditions. These unmanned aerial vehicles overcome off-road conditions and difficult terrain. Remotely controlled robots protect and facilitate the work of the military where it is important to reduce risks to humans,” the statement said.
As noted, depending on the configuration and attachments, the RRCs perform surveillance tasks, transportation of ammunition, logistics, and others. In a separate configuration, they can perform tasks to destroy the enemy.
In addition, Spextr robots are compact in size, making them easy to transport in a minibus or pickup truck. Spextr is equipped with a silent electric motor. The battery charge lasts for several hours of continuous operation.
