Ukraine currently lacks the necessary number of specialists, financial resources, and technological infrastructure to establish large-scale production of modern ballistic missiles. Furthermore, it would be nearly impossible to keep such a project hidden from Russian intelligence. This was stated by cybersecurity expert Konstantin Korsun in an interview with the YouTube channel "Komersant Ukrainian".

According to the expert, developing a modern ballistic missile is a much more complex process than is often portrayed in the public sphere.

“Building a ballistic missile in Ukraine right now might actually be easier than building a nuclear weapon, but there are still not enough people, resources, or time,” Korsun said.

He explained that this is not just a matter of software or design work. According to him, the production of modern ballistic missiles requires high-tech electronics, complex guidance systems, special rocket fuel, manufacturing facilities, and a large number of highly qualified specialists.

Furthermore, according to Korsun, it is practically impossible to conceal the implementation of such a large-scale defense project.

“A project of such scale, depth, seriousness, and scientific complexity could not have been hidden. The Russians still have significant intelligence capabilities within Ukraine. They would have known about it by now,” he noted.

The expert also pointed out that even if Ukraine were to showcase individual samples of ballistic weapons, this would not necessarily mean that mass production is underway.

“If there were a large quantity of high-quality weapons, I’d be surprised. Pleasantly surprised, but surprised nonetheless,” Korsun added.

According to the expert, the key challenge remains not the creation of a single unit, but the establishment of large-scale production with a modern technological base. It is on this, in his opinion, that the country’s actual ability to produce high-precision missile weapons in the necessary quantities depends.
