A Ukrainian soldier rushing to his own wedding nearly missed it because there were no seats left on the train. However, thanks to caring social media users and the railway workers’ swift response, a miracle did happen. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".

The story began when friends of the groom, a soldier, posted a desperate plea on the social media platform Threads, tagging the official account of Ukrzaliznytsia.

There were only a few minutes left before the departure of train No. 041P.

“Dear @ukrainianrailways, we urgently need your help—there are 20 minutes left until train 041P departs, and we have no tickets. The groom (a soldier) is traveling. Is it possible for you to provide a seat on the train?? He’s going to his own wedding,” the message read.

Other social media users immediately picked up on the call for help.

The post went viral instantly, and users began tagging the carrier’s press service en masse to draw attention to the situation.

Ukrzaliznytsia’s response was not long in coming. Within a short time, company representatives responded to the flash mob directly in the comments, concisely and clearly directing the soldier: “Let him go to the 9th car!” the railway workers replied.

Social media users have already called this story an example of how social media and mutual support on the home front can solve any “hopeless” problem in a matter of minutes.

As explained by Ukrzaliznytsia, the carrier maintains a special ticket reserve for military personnel traveling on leave or on official business, though coordination sometimes takes place on an emergency basis.
