The government has completed its audit of the regions: not all regions are ready for winter

The Cabinet of Ministers has completed a comprehensive audit of the implementation of regional resilience plans. The audit revealed that some regions have already implemented the necessary measures, but critical delays have been identified in certain regions, requiring an immediate response.

The government has summarized the results of the audit
According to the head of government, following the completion of the audit, the Cabinet of Ministers assessed the status of the implementation of resilience plans in each region of Ukraine.
The prime minister noted that the situation varies:
- some regions have already carried out the planned measures;
- in some regions, work is ongoing;
- some regions are significantly behind schedule.
That is why the government has compiled a list of priority areas that need to be strengthened in the near future.
Special attention was paid to Kyiv
The capital’s level of preparedness was analyzed separately during the audit.
As Serhiy Koretskyi noted, Kyiv remains the region with the greatest potential risks due to the threat of new large-scale Russian attacks.
Following the meeting of the National Security and Defense Council, a resilience plan for Kyiv was approved, along with a set of measures to prepare the capital for the fall and winter.
Which areas have been identified as priorities
The Prime Minister emphasized that several areas of preparation remain key for all Ukrainian communities.
These include:
- protection of energy facilities;
- strengthening the security of critical infrastructure;
- deploying backup heat supply sources;
- ensuring the uninterrupted operation of life-support systems.
Russia will continue to attack the energy sector
The government assumes that Russia will continue to attempt to strike at Ukraine’s energy and critical infrastructure.
That is why the audit results should serve as the basis for promptly addressing deficiencies and accelerating the regions’ preparations for potential challenges during the upcoming heating season.
According to government officials, regions that are falling behind schedule in implementing these measures will receive additional oversight and support to ensure the necessary work is completed as quickly as possible.
