Exchange Rates for August 5: The Dollar, Euro, and Zloty Have Depreciated

The National Bank of Ukraine has published the official exchange rates for Wednesday, August 5, 2026. Compared to the previous banking day, three major currencies all declined.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing data from the National Bank of Ukraine.
Dollar Exchange Rate as of August 5
The U.S. dollar continued its trend of slight depreciation.
The NBU’s official exchange rate is:
- 1 U.S. dollar — 44.74 UAH
- Change over the past 24 hours: -4 kopecks
After several days of minor fluctuations, the hryvnia has strengthened slightly against the U.S. dollar.

Euro exchange rate as of August 5
The European currency also lost some of its value.
Official exchange rate:
- 1 euro — 51.53 UAH
- Change over the past 24 hours: -11 kopecks
The euro remains above the psychological threshold of 51 hryvnia but is showing a trend toward a gradual decline.
Polish zloty exchange rate
The Polish zloty, which remains one of the most popular currencies among Ukrainians, has also depreciated.
Official NBU exchange rate:
- 1 Polish zloty — 11.96 UAH
- Change over the past 24 hours: -4 kopecks
