The Hungarian government will not allow the “Ukrainian mafia” to enter the European Union, and low-quality Ukrainian grain to enter the European market. Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said this at an anti-war rally in the northwestern city of Győr, according to local media.
According to him, Budapest will continue to block Brussels’ attempts to hasten Ukraine’s integration into European structures, despite the ongoing war.
“Brussels wants the Ukrainian mafia in the European Union and low-quality Ukrainian grain on the EU market,” Szijjarto added.
During the same speech, he emphasized that the Hungarian authorities would block any EU decisions aimed at escalating the armed conflict in Ukraine and involving European countries in it. He added that he could not allow Hungary and its people to “go to war”. In his opinion, the country must be protected from this need.
on November 14, Politico wrote that the corruption scandal in Ukraine had created a “reason” for Hungary and Slovakia to block a loan to Kyiv from Russia’s frozen assets.
