2 June 11:47
On the night of June 2, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Dnipro. In particular, a residential neighborhood came under fire. The death toll is rising. This was reported on Telegram by Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
“Rescuers recovered the body of a child born in 2023 from under the rubble of a four-story building destroyed by the attack. Last night, the Russians killed eight people in Dnipro,” he wrote.
Later, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported that the death toll from the Russian attack on Dnipro had risen to nine people, with another 37 injured, and there are reports of six people missing.
“The number of casualties from the enemy attack on Dnipro is rising. Currently, there are 37. Among the wounded are four children. Two boys aged 6 and 16 and a 13-year-old girl have been hospitalized in moderate condition. Another 14-year-old girl is receiving outpatient treatment,” Hanzha wrote.
He noted that a total of 22 people remain in the city’s hospitals. Four of them are in serious condition.
“As a result of Russia’s combined shelling of Ukraine, 13 people were killed and over 100 were injured. The most damage to civilian infrastructure was in Kyiv, Dnipro, and Kharkiv,” Klymenko noted.
According to him, rescue workers have been working in almost all districts of the capital since last night—at 29 locations. Most of the fires have been extinguished, and work is ongoing at six active locations in five districts of Kyiv.
All necessary units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are involved in the response. At times like these, it is not only timely rescue from destroyed buildings that is important, but also psychological support for the victims and documenting yet another crime committed by Russia.
