For the third time this year: Ukraine has struck the Afipsk oil refinery
11 June 12:03
On the night of June 11, Ukrainian drones attacked the Afipsky oil refinery in the Krasnodar Krai. The attack caused a fire. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties or injuries, the region’s operational headquarters said. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing Russian propaganda media.
According to footage from eyewitnesses published by the Ukrainian monitoring channel Exilenova, a column of fire rose above the facility. At 7 a.m., the operational headquarters stated that the fire had been extinguished.
The Afipsky Oil Refinery is one of the largest oil refining facilities in southern Russia. The plant produces gasoline, diesel fuel, gas condensate distillates, heavy oil residues, and sulfur. However, it is export-oriented and does not produce commercial gasoline or diesel fuel for the domestic market. Prior to this, the refinery had been attacked by drones twice since the beginning of the year: on March 14 and January 21. Ukrainian drones also attacked Krasnodar during a nighttime raid. Debris from one of the downed drones fell on an apartment building in the Central City District, according to Veniamin Kondratyev, governor of the Krasnodar Region. According to him, two people were injured.

Residents of the building said that the attack caused a fire on the balcony of one of the apartments, and windows were shattered in several stairwells across six floors. As Astra determined from eyewitness video footage, the damaged building is located at 61 Moskovskaya Street. Less than 2 km away are military-related enterprises: the Krasnodar Instrument Plant “Kaskad” and JSC “Saturn.” Also, 3 km from the building is the “Krasnodar-Central” military airfield.
According to a report from the Russian Ministry of Defense, over the past night, air defense forces “intercepted and destroyed” 330 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory. In particular, drones were spotted in the skies over the Bryansk, Kursk, Belgorod, Oryol, Smolensk, Kaluga, Tula, Tver, Vladimir, and Moscow regions, as well as over the Krasnodar Krai and occupied Crimea.
Due to the threat posed by the drones, starting the evening of June 10, Rosaviatsiya imposed restrictions on operations at the airports in Tambov (Donskoye), Krasnodar (Pashkovsky), Sochi, Gelendzhik, and Zhukovsky in the Moscow region.
