WOG Is Urgently Closing All Gas Stations in Kyiv and the Region: The Reason Has Been Revealed
1 July 22:37

The company explained that the eight-hour suspension is being implemented for the safety of employees and customers.
When WOG gas stations will be closed
The chain has set a single period for the temporary closure of its gas stations in the capital and the Kyiv region:
- starting at 11:00 p.m. on July 1;
- end — 7:00 a.m. on July 2;
- total duration of the break: eight hours.
During this time, customers will not be able to refuel their vehicles or use the convenience stores and other services at the closed gas stations.

Which gas stations will be closed
This announcement applies to WOG gas stations:
- in Kyiv;
- in the Kyiv region.
The company did not mention in this announcement that stations in other regions would be closed.
Therefore, WOG gas stations in other regions may continue to operate as usual, unless local security conditions require additional restrictions.
The chain publishes updates on its official social media pages and on the WOG website.
Why WOG Is Temporarily Closing Its Gas Stations
The company cited the possibility of a massive shelling of Ukraine as the main reason.
“Due to the possibility of a massive shelling and to ensure the safety of our staff and customers,” WOG explained.
Gas stations are high-risk facilities due to the storage of gasoline, diesel fuel, and liquefied petroleum gas. Therefore, the presence of people on the premises during a missile or drone attack poses additional risks.
Zelenskyy Warned of a Possible Large-Scale Strike
On the evening of July 1, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukrainian intelligence has information that Russia is preparing another massive attack.
According to him, the threat is expected to be particularly high on the night of July 1.
The president urged Ukrainians to:
- be especially careful;
- protect their children and families;
- respond to air raid sirens;
- use shelters;
- not to remain in open areas during a danger.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy did not disclose details regarding possible routes, the number of missiles or drones, or Russia’s specific targets.
He merely noted that there is “very disturbing” information about preparations for another massive strike.
