How to file your income tax return through “Diyu” in just a few clicks

From now on, Ukrainians will be able to file their asset and income declarations online—directly through the “Diya” portal. The digitization of this service saves a significant amount of time, helps avoid errors when filling out forms, and makes the reporting process as transparent and understandable as possible for every taxpayer.

How to file a tax return via “Diya”?

According to a statement from “Diya,” you can now file a tax return or claim a tax credit directly through the portal.

To do this, you need to:

1. Authorization: Log in to the “Diy” portal using a qualified electronic signature (QES).
2. Selecting a service: Find the service “Tax Return on the Property Status and Income of Individuals” and click “Submit Data” to receive information from the tax authority.
3. Select an action: Choose what you want to do—file a tax return or receive a tax credit.
4. Verify data: “Dія” will automatically pull information about your income, real estate, and vehicles. If any information is missing, you can add it manually.
5. Add documents: You can upload scans of necessary documents, such as contracts or receipts.
6. Signing and submission: After signing the declaration with a digital signature, you can send it to the tax office in just a few clicks.

“We are launching the submission of personal income and asset declarations in ‘Diya.’ Forget about complex tables and confusing wording—we’ve made sure the entire process is simple and straightforward in just a few clicks,” the “Diya” announcement states.

Earlier, the Ministry of Digital Transformation announced that the AI assistant Diya.AI is now available in the “Diya” mobile app. Thanks to this assistant, users can obtain a residence certificate for an adult or child via smartphone chat, as well as pay fines for traffic violations.

The government has also simplified the process for families with children and expectant parents to receive state support. All payments will now be deposited into a single account for all types of targeted assistance, which significantly streamlines the process of receiving aid.
