Andriy Sibiga warned of a global food crisis caused by Russia’s attacks

Andriy Sibiga, head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held talks with his Tunisian counterpart, Mohamed Ali Nafti, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
During the conversation, the Ukrainian diplomat briefed his counterpart on the consequences of the latest Russian shelling of civilian infrastructure and populated areas in Ukraine, the current situation on the front lines, and diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive and lasting peace.

Special attention was paid during the talks to Russia’s systematic strikes on port infrastructure and civilian shipping in the Black Sea.
According to Sibiga, such actions by the aggressor pose a direct threat to freedom of navigation and undermine global food security.
“These attacks have consequences that extend far beyond Ukraine’s borders, particularly for countries that depend on Ukrainian grain supplies. Since Tunisia is an important destination for Ukrainian grain, we have a shared interest in maintaining open and safe sea lanes,” the Ukrainian Foreign Minister noted on the social media platform X following the meeting.
Andriy Sybiga also expressed gratitude to the Tunisian side for supporting the UN General Assembly resolution “Support for Lasting Peace in Ukraine,” which is of great importance to Kyiv.
The head of Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry emphasized that Kyiv highly values Tunisia’s stance and reaffirms its readiness to further develop practical and mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation.
