Ballistic projectiles struck Kyiv: fires in two districts of the capital

On the night of July 15–16, Russia launched another ballistic missile strike on Kyiv. The attack caused fires in the Svyatoshyn and Darnytsia districts, with strikes confirmed on warehouses and non-residential buildings. Rescue workers and emergency services are on the scene. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

Russia Attacked Kyiv with Ballistic Missiles

On the night of July 16, a series of powerful explosions rang out in the capital during an air raid alert. Prior to this, the Ukrainian Air Force had warned of the threat of ballistic missile strikes.

After the explosions, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported on the initial consequences of the enemy attack.

Warehouse facilities were hit in the Svyatoshynsky district

According to the mayor, a direct hit on warehouse facilities was recorded in the Svyatoshynsky district.

The strike caused a massive fire; units of the State Emergency Service and other emergency services are on the scene.

In the Darnytskyi district—falling debris and another strike

The situation in the Darnytskyi district remains no less challenging.

Initial reports indicated that rocket debris had fallen on non-residential property.

Later, Klitschko clarified that a non-residential building had been struck at a different address, which also resulted in a fire.

According to city authorities, rescue workers are extinguishing both fires.

As of the time of publication, no official data on fatalities or injuries had been reported.

Russia continues its massive attacks on Kyiv

In recent weeks, the capital has regularly been the target of combined attacks involving strike drones and ballistic missiles.

Ukrainian authorities are once again urging residents not to ignore air raid sirens and to immediately head to shelters, as ballistic missiles can reach their targets in just a few minutes.
