The dollar and the euro have fallen in value: The NBU has updated its exchange rates for July 16

The National Bank of Ukraine has updated its official exchange rates for July 16, 2026. Following a sharp rise in the previous days, the U.S. dollar and the euro began to decline. At the same time, the Polish zloty also depreciated slightly. This was reported by the National Bank of Ukraine, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

The NBU Set the Official Exchange Rates for July 16

According to data from the National Bank of Ukraine, as of Thursday, July 16, the official exchange rate of the hryvnia against major foreign currencies is as follows:

  • 1 U.S. dollar — 44.75 UAH (-14 kopecks);
  • 1 euro — 51.07 UAH (-13 kopecks);
  • 1 Polish zloty — 11.80 UAH;
  • 1 Swiss franc — 55.17 UAH;
  • 1 Chinese yuan — 6.60 UAH.

Dollar Exchange Rate

On July 16, the National Bank of Ukraine set the official U.S. dollar exchange rate at 44.74 UAH, which is 14 kopecks less than the previous day. For comparison, on July 15 , the official rate was 44.88 UAH per dollar.

Despite the current decline, the U.S. dollar remains near its all-time high.

All-time high for the dollar: 44.97 UAH (June 11, 2026).

Euro Exchange Rate

The official euro exchange rate as of July 16 was set at 51.06 UAH, which is 13 kopecks less than on Wednesday, when the rate stood at 51.19 UAH per euro.

Following a recent rise, the European currency has weakened slightly but remains above the psychological threshold of 51 hryvnia.

All-time high for the euro: 52.03 UAH (June 16, 2026).
