Blogger and civic activist Borislav Bereza published a postin which he offered his own interpretation of the content of the so-called “Mindich tapes.” In his opinion, the pseudonym “Speaker,” mentioned in one of the dialogues, may allegedly refer to Andriy Pyshnyy, the head of the National Bank of Ukraine, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
Berez claims that code names or pseudonyms were used for the individuals featured in the recordings. As examples, he cites a number of nicknames which, he says, may correspond to specific participants in the conversations.

Citing his own sources in political circles, the author of the post suggests that “Speaker” is the code name for Andriy Pyshnyy. To support this theory, he analyzes a segment of the recordings in which a participant discusses financial matters and mentions that the “Speaker did not disclose” certain information to a superior referred to in the conversation as the “Surgeon.”
According to Bereza, this episode may indicate that the person using the pseudonym “Speaker” was allegedly part of the group discussing these issues.
“In one of the dialogues between Vasya Vesely and Zuckerman, a certain ‘Speaker’ comes up. According to my sources in political circles, this is exactly how Carlson-Mindich coded… Andriy Pyshnyy. Now let’s break down the exact context in which our ‘Speaker’ appears.
(…) Vesely was simply showing off in front of Zuckerman: he claimed he had exposed a financial scheme that the ‘Speaker’ (NBU Governor Pyshny) had quietly kept quiet about and failed to report to higher-ups.
His (Veselyi’s—ed.) logic: “I’m bringing the Surgeon exclusive banking information that even the head of the National Bank, the Speaker, is hiding from him. That’s why he really needs me. And relying on this VIP status of mine, I’ll go and toughly resolve our problem with the ‘armored ones,’” Bereza believes.
Separately, Bereza speculates on the reasons why, in his opinion, Andriy Pyshnyy continues to hold the position of NBU governor. He also claims that if the official’s status were to change, he could allegedly provide law enforcement with testimony regarding other figures involved in the Mindich case.
At the end of his post, Bereza addressed journalist Mykhailo Tkach with a proposal to devote a separate investigative report to analyzing the “Mindich tapes.”
As of the time of publication, Andriy Pyshnyy had not publicly commented on Bereza’s allegations. Likewise, there are no official conclusions from law enforcement agencies that would confirm or refute the interpretation of the recordings presented in the post.
The editorial team is prepared to give all parties mentioned the opportunity to respond should they provide their position.
