A foreign ship sank near Odesa following a Russian missile attack

A foreign civilian vessel sank in the Black Sea near Odesa after being struck by a Russian missile last week. Ten people were killed as a result of the hostile attack. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing a statement by Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional State Administration.
Russian forces attacked the civilian vessel with missiles on July 19, as it was leaving the port loaded with Ukrainian corn.
Nine crew members and a Ukrainian pilot were killed in the missile strike. Eight other sailors were rescued and evacuated.
By the time the ship finally sank, the crew was no longer on board.
“The enemy has once again demonstrated that it deliberately attacks civilian shipping and endangers human lives and the safety of maritime transport,” Oleg Kipper emphasized.
The head of the Regional Military Administration added that this attack on a civilian vessel carrying a peaceful cargo is yet another proof of the aggressor country’s terrorist nature.
As a reminder, Russia continues to systematically attack civilian shipping in an attempt to block the Ukrainian maritime corridor.
