Where there is no power on May 7
Due to Russian strikes on energy facilities, some consumers remain without electricity in five regions.
Power is partially out in:
- Dnipropetrovsk Oblast;
- Donetsk Oblast;
- Zaporizhzhia Oblast;
- Sumy Oblast;
- Kharkiv Oblast.
The Ministry of Energy notes that restoration work is proceeding at an accelerated pace. Energy workers are working around the clock to restore power to all customers as quickly as possible.
Will there be power outage schedules on May 7?
Despite damage to the power infrastructure in certain regions, no power restrictions are expected on May 7.
This means that no nationwide power outage schedules are currently planned. However, local power outages are possible in areas where the grid has been damaged by shelling.
The Ministry of Energy advises monitoring updates on the official websites of regional power companies, as the situation may change depending on the consequences of new attacks and the pace of repair work.
Energy workers are working around the clock
According to the ministry, emergency repair crews are working in an intensified mode. The main task is to restore power to consumers who have been left without electricity due to damage to power grids or energy facilities.
The work is complicated by the security situation, especially in frontline regions, where there remains a risk of renewed shelling.
Ukrainians are asked to conserve electricity
The Ministry of Energy has urged consumers to use electricity sparingly, especially during peak consumption hours—in the morning and evening.
This primarily refers to the following periods:
- in the morning, when people are actively using household appliances;
- in the evening, when the load on the power grid traditionally increases.
Conserving energy helps reduce the load on the grid and makes the power companies’ job easier.
