Thunderstorms, hail, and a sharp drop in temperature: the weather forecast for July 10

Today, July 10, the weather in Ukraine will be unsettled. Most regions are expected to see brief showers and thunderstorms in some areas, while forecasters predict heavy downpours, hail, and squalls in certain regions. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
At the same time, temperatures will vary significantly by region: it will be cool in the west, while in the south, temperatures will rise to nearly 30°C.
Where heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected
According to forecasters, the most challenging weather conditions are expected in:
- Kharkiv Oblast;
- Sumy Oblast;
- Poltava Oblast;
- Dnipropetrovsk Oblast;
- Zaporizhzhia Oblast;
- the Autonomous Republic of Crimea;
- the eastern regions of Ukraine.
In these regions, heavy rain and thunderstorms are possible, and hail and wind gusts of 15–20 m/s are forecast in some areas during the day.
At the same time, no significant precipitation is expected overnight in most northern and central regions.

Air Temperature on July 10
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, air temperatures will be as follows:
At night:
- in the western and northern regions, as well as in the Cherkasy and Vinnytsia regions — 9…14°C;
- in the rest of the country — 13…18°C.
During the day:
- in most regions — 19…25°C;
- in the south and southeast — 23…28°C;
- in the western regions — 15…20°C.
Thus, the temperature difference between the warmest and coolest regions of the country will exceed 10 degrees.
What will the weather be like in Kyiv and the Kyiv region?
Variable cloudiness is forecast for Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
There will be no precipitation at night, but brief showers are possible during the day.
The wind will be from the west, 5–10 m/s.
Air temperature:
- across the region — 9…14°C at night and 19…24°C during the day;
- in Kyiv — 12…14°C at night and 21…23°C during the day.
A westerly wind with speeds of 5–10 m/s will prevail throughout Ukraine.
