Russia launched a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv: damage has been reported in four districts

On the night of July 10–11, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv. At least six people were injured in the attack, and damage and fires were reported in the Dniprovskyi, Darnytskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, and Solomianskyi districts of the capital.

This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing the Kyiv City Military Administration, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, and the Ukrainian Air Force.

Russia Attacked Kyiv with Ballistic Missiles

A series of powerful explosions rang out in the capital during the air raid alert. According to Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Russia carried out a missile strike on the city.

Monitoring sources reported that the occupiers may have used ballistic missiles from S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems.

Residents of the capital were urged to immediately take shelter until the air raid alert ended.

The aftermath of the attack was observed in four districts

As a result of the Russian strike, civilian facilities in various districts of Kyiv sustained damage.

Dniprovskyi District

Smoke was observed in a non-residential area.

Svyatoshyn District

A missile reportedly struck a non-residential building.

Darnitskyi District

Damaged:

  • a transformer substation;
  • a traffic signal control panel;
  • the roadway.

Windows were shattered in nearby residential buildings.

Solomyanskyi District

A fire broke out in a three-story office building.

Rescue workers, medical personnel, and other emergency services were on the scene.

The number of casualties has risen

Initial reports indicated three casualties, but Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko later clarified that the number of injured had risen to six.

According to the latest reports:

  • three people were hospitalized;
  • three others received medical attention at the scene.

Information regarding the condition of the injured is being updated.

This is not the first ballistic attack on the capital in recent times.

The Kyiv City Military Administration notes that all relevant services continue to address the aftermath of the shelling, while law enforcement officials are documenting yet another war crime committed by Russia against the civilian population.
