PrivatBank CEO Mikael Björkner received a record payout for May: what is the amount?

PrivatBank CEO Mikael Björkner received a salary of 2.9 million hryvnia for May 2026, as well as a bonus of 10.5 million hryvnia. This is stated in PrivatBank’s report. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".
One member of the management board received a bonus of 7.3 million UAH in May. The salaries of management board members range from 1.2 million to 1.8 million UAH per month.
“Based on a decision by the supervisory board and in accordance with the requirements of the Compensation Policy, in May 2026, 40% of the accrued variable remuneration for 2025 and another quarter (1/4) of the deferred payments for 2024 were paid out,” the report states.
Other members of the management board received their bonuses back in April. Their amounts ranged from 1.4 million to 8.6 million UAH.
Mikael Björkner has headed PrivatBank since January 2025. Prior to that, he led the banking business at Swedbank, where he was responsible for the full range of banking services, including retail and corporate banking, operational processes, and digital transformation. Under his leadership, Swedbank successfully implemented a number of important initiatives in strategic planning and digitalization.
Mr. Björknerth previously served as Chairman of GetSwish and Bankgirot in Sweden, and was a member of the Board of Nasdaq (Nordic). In addition, he headed the global transactions division at SEB Bank at both the international and national levels.
