Drones struck a thermal power plant and a railway line in Donbas: what are the consequences?

On the night of June 7, drones attacked the occupied part of Donetsk Oblast, striking the Zuivska Thermal Power Plant in Zuhres. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

According to available data, a fire broke out in the Chystyakove area following the attack. Damage to railway infrastructure facilities has also been reported.

Information is circulating online that as a result of the drone strike, a number of settlements in the occupied territory of the Donetsk region were left without power . Specifically, these include Makiivka, Khartsyzsk, Yenakiieve, Debaltseve, and Kirovske.

The Zuivska Thermal Power Plant is located approximately 40 kilometers east of Donetsk. Since the start of Russian aggression in 2014, the plant has been under the control of the occupying authorities.

Earlier that night, monitoring sources also reported an attack by strike drones on railway infrastructure near the village of Rodakove in Luhansk Oblast. According to their reports, a fire broke out at a substation.
