Wildberries removed the “Everything for the Armed Forces” section but continued to sell military goods

Following a series of attacks by Ukrainian drones on Wildberries warehouses, the marketplace removed the “Everything for the Special Military Operation” tag, under which more than 200,000 products had previously been listed. Now, when users try to enter this search term on the website or in the app, a message appears: “No matching products found.”"Komersant Ukrainian" reports this, citing Russian propaganda media.
At the same time, military-grade products remain on the marketplace. Body armor and protective helmets are still available in the “Sports” section, while FPV drones and accessories are listed in the “TV, Audio, Photo, and Video Equipment” category, and other search queries—such as “SVO products” or “SVO kit”—yield results for military first-aid kits, walkie-talkies, and backpacks.

Since July 18, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have attacked at least ten Wildberries logistics centers, including warehouses in Elektrostal, Kotovsk, Koledino, Krasnodar, Nevinnomyssk, Voronezh, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, and occupied Simferopol.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that these facilities were used “to supply the Russian army with drone components, navigation equipment, and gear.” Wildberries founder Tatyana Kim called the strikes on the company’s warehouses an act of international terrorism, and the Investigative Committee offered a similar assessment.
At the same time, as Der Spiegel notes, Russia has been employing such tactics for quite some time. The Russian Ministry of Defense regularly strikes the sorting centers of the Ukrainian companies “Ukrposhta” and “Nova Poshta,” explaining that the Ukrainian Armed Forces receive weapons components and other supplies through them.
Russian media outlets also described the Ukrainian attacks on Wildberries warehouses as a “logical media response” to Russia’s similar actions against “Nova Poshta” branches.
According to media estimates, 10% of Wildberries’ logistics facilities were hit by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in just one week. The company acknowledged that all damaged facilities would require complete restoration, while market participants estimated the cost of constructing similar warehouse space—excluding equipment—at 35.5 billion rubles.
