Victoria Adam ska, founder of the famous Ukrainian clothing brand Vika Adamska, planned to open a bar in her store in Kharkiv in early 2022. But a full-scale invasion began and all plans had to be changed. Victoria Adamska told how her business survived the outbreak of the Great War and managed to expand its geography during theMamaBrandinformation and motivational event held by Kommersant Ukrainian .

“January 2022 – everything is great, production is working at full capacity, we are making plans, we are going to open a bar in the store on 1 March. And then a full-scale invasion begins. Our entire team, production – all in Kharkiv. And flights start arriving at our flagship store. Our entire team is relocated. But as a positive optimist, I miraculously create a patriotic collection and we start working actively. The collection is gaining incredible popularity, orders are being placed not just across the country, but all over the world! A lot of Ukrainian stars are buying the collection, without any advertising, sponsorship or anything else – everything happened organically,”

– she said.

Victoria Adamskaya is sure that the main thing is to always be optimistic and believe in yourself, your business and people!

“And in this difficult time, new doors opened for us – we began to receive support in the press, not only in Ukraine but also in the West. And the brand has reached a new level, expanded its geography. In connection with these events, people’s buying mood has also changed – Ukrainian products have become very popular!

Now we have completely restored the store in Kharkiv, brought back production, and applied for a grant to buy another generator, because there is no electricity in Kharkiv every day and ours is no longer up to the task. We keep working because the main thing is optimism!”

– says the founder of the clothing brand Vika Adamska.
