Agricultural Sector Sets Export Record: Who Generates the Most Foreign Exchange Revenue for Ukraine

Ukraine’s agri-food sector has traditionally been one of the key sectors of foreign trade. In 2025, it accounted for 56.1% of the country’s export revenues, amounting to $22.5 billion.
This is according to data from the YC.Market analytical system, as reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".
Corn became the leader in terms of the number of exporters. The sample includes 627 companies, which is 7.5% more than among wheat exporters and 2.4 times more than among sunflower oil producers.
Most of these companies are registered in Kyiv (102), Chernihiv (65), Vinnytsia (57), and Kyiv regions (53).
The largest corn exporters include:
- Kernel-Trade LLC — 6.5–7 billion UAH;
- Louis Dreyfus Company Ukraine LLC — 6.5–7 billion UAH;
- Nibulon Joint Venture LLC — 5–5.5 billion UAH;
- ADM Ukraine LLC — 4.5–5 billion UAH.
The sunflower oil market is controlled by major players
Sunflower oil exhibits one of the highest levels of market concentration. Of the 259 exporting companies, the top 11 accounted for over UAH 100 billion in exports.
The undisputed leader is Kernel-Trade LLC, whose exports are estimated at 44–44.5 billion UAH.
Also among the leaders:
- Santrade State Enterprise — 20–20.5 billion UAH;
- Oliyar — 6.5–7 billion UAH;
- ADM Ukraine LLC — 6–6.5 billion UAH.
The largest number of oil exporters are registered in the Dnipropetrovsk region (40 companies) and Kyiv (39 companies).
Wheat
The wheat sample includes 583 companies.
The top 11 exporters account for nearly half of the total export volume of this crop. The largest exporters are:
- Louis Dreyfus Company Ukraine LLC — 7.5–8 billion UAH;
- Kernel-Trade LLC — 7–7.5 billion UAH;
- Western Container Terminal LLC — 6–6.5 billion UAH.
The regions with the highest number of companies are Kyiv, Odesa, Kirovohrad, and Vinnytsia.
Soybeans
Soybean exports are less concentrated than the markets for vegetable oil or poultry meat. The sample includes 421 companies.
The largest exporters are:
- Agro Fund LLC — 3–3.5 billion UAH;
- Western Container Terminal LLC — 3–3.5 billion UAH;
- V Agro LLC — 2.5–3 billion UAH.
Most companies operate in Kyiv, Sumy, Kyiv, and Zhytomyr regions.

Poultry
The poultry meat market showed the highest concentration. A total of 25 companies export products, and the three largest players account for over 80% of all shipments.
The leaders are:
- Vinnytsia Poultry Farm LLC — 10–10.5 billion UAH;
- Myronivska Poultry Farm PJSC — 10–10.5 billion UAH;
- MHP PJSC — 6.5–7 billion UAH.
Overall, the top 11 companies account for virtually all exports in this product group.

Among them:

- Kernel-Trade LLC — in three categories;
- Nibulon JV LLC — in three categories;
