Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk met with U.S. President Donald Trump in the Oval Office of the White House. A photo of the meeting between the athlete and the politician was posted on her X page by Trump’s communications aide Margo Martin, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

The meeting took place during Oleksandr Usyk’s visit to the U.S. The Ukrainian boxer arrived in Washington, D.C., where he had previously visited the Pentagon.

Usyk had previously reached out to Trump
In February 2025, Zelenskyy brought Trump a belt from Usyk during a meeting at the White House; both men remained cryptic about what happened to the belt afterward.
The boxer himself only remarked at the time:
“I know what this belt is, but I can’t tell anyone anything.”
Earlier, Oleksandr Usyk had already addressed Donald Trump publicly. The Ukrainian boxer called on the American politician to pay attention to Russia’s war against Ukraine and to help Ukrainians.
In one of his appeals, Usyk invited Trump to visit Ukraine and see how people live under the constant threat of Russian attacks.
That is precisely why the athlete’s current meeting with Trump at the White House has drawn additional attention from the Ukrainian audience.
