Members of the SBU’s “Alpha” Special Operations Center, together with the Special Operations Forces (SSO) and the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), carried out successful strikes on the “Tamanneftegaz” oil and gas terminal in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation, reports "Komersant Ukrainian", citing the SBU press service.
“It is the largest complex for the transshipment of liquefied hydrocarbons in southern Russia. SBU drones struck five tanks containing petroleum products in the tank farm, as well as two oil loading stands at the terminal,” the statement said.
The SBU noted that fires also broke out in the area of the freight transport parking lot and the storage infrastructure of “Tamanneftegaz.” Russian air defense positions covering the facility were also hit.
“The Russian oil and gas complex is a source of funding for the war against Ukraine. It is these petrodollars that are being turned into missiles, drones, and ammunition with which the enemy attacks our cities. Therefore, the SBU will continue to systematically deprive the Russian war machine of the resources needed to wage war,” the SBU emphasized.
According to a report from the Russian Ministry of Defense, 123 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones were shot down last night over 12 regions of Russia and the annexed Crimea. In addition to the Tula and Moscow regions, drones were intercepted over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, and Rostov regions, Ryazan, Smolensk, and Tver regions, as well as over the Krasnodar Krai and the waters of the Azov and Black Seas.
Starting on the evening of June 14, Rosaviatsiya restricted operations at the airports in Volgograd, Sochi, Gelendzhik, Kaluga, Ivanovo, Nizhny Novgorod, and Yaroslavl. The Moscow airports Domodedovo and Zhukovsky were accepting and dispatching flights in coordination with the relevant authorities.
