Exchange rates as of May 25: The dollar, euro, and zloty rose after the weekend

The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official exchange rates for Monday, May 25, 2026. Following the weekend, the dollar, euro, and Polish zloty rose slightly in value. This is according to data from the National Bank of Ukraine, as reported by "Komersant Ukrainian"

The dollar and the euro saw the largest increases in kopecks—3 kopecks each.

The official exchange rate for the dollar on May 25 is 44.2619 UAH, for the euro — 51.3305 UAH, and for the Polish zloty — 12.0994 UAH.

Euro exchange rate as of May 25

The single European currency also rose.

Official euro exchange rate:

  • 1 euro — 51.33 UAH

The euro gained 3 kopecks. After a brief stabilization, the European currency rose slightly in value again.

Zloty exchange rate as of May 25

The Polish zloty also rose in value.

Official exchange rate for Monday:

  • 1 Polish zloty — 12.09 UAH

The zloty gained 2 kopecks. This exchange rate is important for Ukrainians who work, study, or frequently travel to Poland, as well as for those who receive remittances in zlotys.

What’s happening with the hryvnia

After the weekend, the hryvnia weakened slightly against major currencies. The dollar, euro, and zloty rose by a few kopecks, so there is no sharp jump on the official market.

The NBU’s official exchange rate is used for accounting, customs, tax, and financial calculations. At the same time, the cash exchange rate at banks and currency exchange offices may vary depending on supply and demand and the specific region.
