That’s why the confrontation will result in a gusty wind – from moderate in the west to strong, stormy winds in the east. The weather is getting colder. Next night it is expected to be -2-7, tomorrow afternoon -1-6 degrees below zero,” the statement said.
In Kyiv, on Friday, December 13, there will be no precipitation. However, there will be a strong northwest wind. The temperature is expected to be -3-6 degrees during the day.
On Saturday, December 14, the cold snap will intensify. But on Sunday, it will warm up again.
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, on December 13, the weather in Ukraine will be mostly cloudy with clearings. At night, light snow is expected in most regions of the country, and during the day precipitation will move to the eastern and southeastern regions.
Ice cover will remain on the roads in some places, which may hamper traffic and increase the risk of accidents.
Winds are forecast to be northwest at a speed of 7-12 m/s. In most regions, except for the western part, gusts of up to 15-20 m/s are expected.
The air temperature will remain wintery. At night, the temperature will drop to 3-8° below zero, while during the day it is expected to be 1-6° below zero. In the southern regions and Transcarpathia, it will be slightly warmer – around 0° during the day. In the highlands of the Carpathians, frosts will be more severe: 5-10° at night and 2-7° below zero during the day.
