The Bulgarian Central Election Commission has released the results of 87.23% of the vote counts, according to which the “Progressive Bulgaria” party of pro-Russian former President Rumen Radev has received 44.56% of the vote. Taking into account the redistribution of votes, this result could secure Radev a simple majority.

This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the website of the Bulgarian Central Election Commission.

According to the results of the count of 87.23% of the ballots, in second place is the pro-Western bloc “We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria” (13.45%). In third place is the GERB–SDS bloc (13.31%).

Also entering the National Assembly (parliament) of Bulgaria are the openly pro-Putin party “Revival” (4.38%), as well as Delian Peevski’s DPS (Movement for Rights and Freedoms) party (6.08%). Meanwhile, the Bulgarian Socialist Party may not make it into parliament.

It should be noted that, according to exit polls, Rumen Radev’s “Progressive Bulgaria” is projected to receive 37–38% of the vote, which does not give them a majority. However, Rumen Radev could easily form a coalition with “Revival,” which is the worst-case scenario for Ukraine

As a reminder, the current elections mark the eighth early parliamentary election in Bulgaria held over the past five years. Voter turnout stood at 48.5%.
