The National Dairy Stand of Ukraine is presented for the first time at Gulfood 2025

One of the most influential food exhibitions in the world, Gulfood, starts today in Dubai. It is reported by DiiaBusiness, "Komersant Ukrainian" informs.

This exhibition is the main meeting place for representatives of the food industry and gastronomy. In 2025, it celebrates its 30th anniversary.

Gulfood 2025 will be a platform for more than 5,500 exhibitors from 129 countries to present their products and services.

Ukraine annually participates in Gulfood, demonstrating its agri-food and export potential both through collective expositions and individual company stands. This year, for the first time, a separate sectoral exposition was presented – the National Dairy Stand.

Five Ukrainian companies representing the country’s dairy sector will present their products at the stand:

“Dubnomoloko, LLC (Rivne region) – semi-hard and processed cheeses;

“Ratnivsky Milk Plant, LLC (Volyn region) – butter and spreads;

“Dairy Company Halychyna, LLC (Lviv region) – long-term storage milk, cream, butter, vegetable-based alternatives;

“Milk Workshop LLC (Kirovograd region) – soft and semi-hard cheeses;

“Prime Snack, LLC (Zakarpattia region) – cheese snacks.

The national stand of Ukraine at Gulfood 2025 is organized by the State Institution “Office for Entrepreneurship and Export Development”, a national project of Diia.Business, under the auspices of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and with the support of Switzerland within the framework of the Swiss-Ukrainian program “Development of Higher Value Added Trade in the Organic and Dairy Sectors of Ukraine”.

Ukraine increases exports of dairy products

According to preliminary data from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, in January 2024, 8.1 thousand tons of dairy products were exported. Compared to December, natural export volumes increased by 12%, and compared to January 2024, they increased by 23%. This was reported by the Association of Milk Producers.

The main export categories in December were the following products:

Milk and cream, condensed – 29%;

Milk and cream, not condensed – 21%;

Whey – 18%;

Cheese – 12%.

Compared to December 2024, Ukraine increased natural exports of butter to 749 tons (plus 71%), ice cream to 490 tons (plus 37%), condensed milk and cream to 2.33 thousand tons (plus 16%), whey to 1.44 thousand tons (plus 12%), butter to 422 tons (plus 10%) and cheeses to 935 tons (plus 9%). However, over the past month, Ukrainian exporters have reduced shipments of milk and cream, not condensed, to 1.72 thousand tons (minus 9%) and did not supply casein to foreign markets.

Compared to January 2024, the natural export volumes of butter (plus 198%), ice cream (plus 77%), whey (plus 55%), cheeses (plus 52%), butter (plus 42%), and condensed milk and cream (plus 38%) increased. Ukrainian exporters shipped 32% less milk and cream than last year.
